Update 3 - Big gameplay changes


I'm back with Update 3. For this update specifically, the public version and the subscriber version have been split.

For subscribers, major changes include:

  • Reworked level system
  • Reworked gameplay loop with meta-progression in mind
  • Reworked cardpools
  • Many new cards and items
  • Card rarity
  • Permanent card upgrades through meta-progression
  • Permanent trait improvements
  • Reworked navigation system with a map
  • New area and enemies
  • Event encounters and new rooms

For public users, the entirety of Update 2 is available, with all characters, including Beryl, available up to level 3.

No new growth stages or characters this time around, as I'm shifting the gameplay a lot. But don't worry, more sexy and more growth coming next.

Save files are not compatible from Update 2
Note that only one single difficulty setting is available. I am monitoring the difficulty aspect closely in case changes need to be made. Also, I still need to include some card upgrade arts. Ruby doesn't have any at the moment. Please inform me of any issues or bugs you may find.

Expect small updates in the following days for:

  • finishing touches (missing art upgrades, missing sfx, polishing animations)
  • performances (it can lag a bit depending on your machine)
  • bug fixes
  • card and enemy balance
